Ernest Ceresa, 77, of Trafford, formerly of Penn Township, died Saturday, May 20, 2000, in Forbes Regional Hospital, Monroeville. He was born April 17, 1923, in Schignano, Italy, a son of the late Paul and Catherine Peduzzi Ceresa. Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a bricklayer for Local 75 Bricklayers Union in Greensburg. He was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Harrison City. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World WAr II, and was a member of the Sub-Alpine Society of Turtle Creek. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by hisbrother, Dominic Ceresa. He was a beloved husband, father, father-in-law, and grandfather to the following: his wife of 53 years, Florence Pierce Ceresa; three sons, Dominick and wife, Virginia Ceresa, of Jeannette, Ernest Ceresa of Trafford and Roy and wife, Barbara Ceresa, of McCullough; a daughter, Mary Kinkella of Trafford; two brothers, Anthony Ceresa of Wilmerding and Paul Ceresa of North Versailles; a sister, Pearl Rosi of Wilmerding; four grandchildren, Anthony Ceresa, Vicki Ceresa, Dominique Kinkella and Rachel Temple; and a great-grandson, Chad Heasley. Friends will be received at the JAMES E. LINDSAY FUNERAL HOME INC., Main Street, Harrison City, Monday from 5 to 8 p.m., at which time services will be held in the funeral homewith the Rev. Robert J. Seilhamer officiating. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Central Blood Bank, 812 Fifth Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15219.
