VA Center, Chillicothe, OH. He was born September 13, 1921 in Parkersburg, a son
of the late William and Fanney Rutter Snyder. He served in the US Navy CBs
during WWII. and was a member of the American Legion Post #15. He retired from
Chemical Leaman Tank Lines as a trucker and then worked for Kroger. He was also
a member of the Masonic Lodge #293 in Bartlett.
He is survived by two sons, Larry R (Sheila) Snyder of Shreveport, Louisiana,
Steven D. (Marilyn) Snyder of Vincent, OH; one daughter Sandra L. (Donnie
Richards) Johnson of Torch, OH; eight grandchildren, three step grandchildren;
eight great grandchildren; three step great grandchildren; son-in-law Bud Stoops
of Cleveland, TN.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Louise
Caplinger Snyder; daughter Peggy Stoops; son-in-law Jim Johnson; one grandchild;
one great grandchild; three brothers and three sisters.
Graveside Services will be Thursday 2:30 pm at Rockland Cemetery with Chaplain
Arthur Reed officiating and Military Rites by the American Legion Post #15.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Leavitt Funeral Home & Crematory,
Belpre.
