Jarvis Douglas "Doug" Johnson, 89, of Hattiesburg, died November 21, 2012 at Bedford Care Center. Visitation will be Friday, November 23, 2012 at Morriston Cemetery from 12:30 – 1:30 p.m. with graveside services immediately following.
Mr. Johnson was a farmer and a World War II Navy veteran. He was a member of James Street Missionary Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Vera Nell Johnson.
He is survived by a daughter, Teressa Rainey of Petal; two sons, Terry Johnson and Tommy Edwards both of Petal; two sisters, Edna Lucas of Sumrall and Merle Cowan of Hattiesburg; a grandson, Ashley Edwards of Biloxi; and a great-granddaughter, Alexandra Edwards of Biloxi.
