Funeral services for Melissa Denise Dixon, 29, of Lufkin will be held Monday, November 26, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Andrew G. Pittman and Brother Jesse Moore officiating. Interment will follow in the Runnels Cemetery, near Broaddus.
Melissa was born January 15, 1983 in Lufkin, Texas, and died Monday, November 19, 2012 in a Houston hospital. She was a lifetime resident of Lufkin and a member of Lufkin's First Baptist Church.
Survivors include her son Mason; father and stepmother Joe and Khristi Dixon; mother Denise Dixon; sisters and brothers-in-law, Jennifer and Lacy Rasberry, Anjanette and Don Jackson, and Amanda Drago; stepsisters and brothers-in-law, Dorcas and Brandon Rupert and Jenifer and Adam Williamson; stepbrothers and sisters-in-law, Joe and Candice Williams and Aaron and Laura Williams; grandparents, Wilma Rose Parrott and Grover W. and Terruyo Parrott; Mason's special friend, Jamie Dominy; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Lacy Rasberry, Brandon Rupert, Joe Williams, Aaron Williams, Don Jackson and Jesse Dominy.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Melissa Dixon Memorial Fund at any Capital One Bank branch.
The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. Monday morning prior to the services.
