Glenn Joseph Flatt was born Northeast of Stroud, Oklahoma on October 30, 1923 to Ralph and Mattie (Holland) Flatt. He passed away on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at the age of 95.

Glenn lived most of his life in the Stroud and Drumright area. During his youth he served in the Civilian Conservation Corps, CCC Camps in Colorado. Then he spent most of his work life in the oilfield. He had beef cattle for 50 years, only selling them when he was 93 years old. Glenn was liked and respected by everyone who knew him. He was known to be a good, honest and Christian man. He was a blessing to everyone he met, but especially to his family.

On May 24, 1944, Glenn was united in marriage to Katherine Brown, they remained together for over 48 years until her death. To this union 5 children were born.

On December 26, 1992, Glenn was united in marriage to Callie Wells. They have remained together until his death.

Survivors are his wife, Callie Flatt, of the home. 2 sons, Dwain Flatt and wife Dracy of Drumright; Doyle Flatt and wife Shirley of Ada. Daughter in law Marilynn Flatt of Drumright, son in law Robert Moyer of Vinita. 9 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild. Also survived by step daughter Judy Carwright and husband Rick of Drumright, 3 step sons Tommy Wells and wife Cathy, Lynn Wells all of Drumright and David Wells and wife Susie of McAlester. 9 step grandchildren, 16 step great grandchildren and 6 step great great grandchildren. Numerous nieces and nephews along with a host of friends.

Preceded in death by his parents, his wife Katherine, son Dwitt Flatt, 2 daughters Debbie Collyar and Denise Moyer. 4 brothers Elmer, Charles, Kenneth and Willard Flatt. 2 sisters Lois Flatt and Dorothy Randall. Step Daughter in Yvetta Wells, along with several nieces and nephews.

Services will held at Parks Brothers Chapel on Friday, April 26, 2019 at 2:00 pm with Reverend Jim Forrest officiating. Burial to follow at Stroud Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Stroud.
