Felicia Renea Burgess died Saturday, was born July 29, 1980 in Florence, SC, a daughter of Levern "Rip" Cooper and Patricia Burgess Cooper. On Saturday, October 27, 2012, God, in His infinite wisdom called Felicia Renee Burgess to eternal rest at Carolina Hospital Systems in Florence, South Carolina.


She received her formal education in the public school of Clarendon County graduating from East Clarendon High School, Turbeville, South Carolina.

She attended Mercy & Kindness Holiness Church. Felicia "Na" as she was known, was an avid praise dancer. She loved expressing herself through her dance. She will be missed dearly by her family and friends.


She leaves to cherish her precious memories, her parents, Levern and Patricia Burgess Cooper of Lynchburg, SC; four children, Montaniqua and Montes Pearson, NaKayla Burgess and Cherish Cochran all of the home; three sisters, Shinell Burgess of Lynchburg, SC, Sherry Burgess of Columbia, SC and Letitia Burgess of Turbeville, SC; a grandmother, Shirley Cooper of Turbeville, SC; six aunts, Maryann Cooper of Turbeville, SC, Patsy (Donald) Smalls of Sumter, SC, Anna Briggs of New Zion, SC, Laura (Delbert) Fullard of Lynchburg, SC, Debbie Cooper and Joanne (James) Wallace both of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; uncles, Edward Cooper of Sumter, SC, Ernest (Mary) Cooper and Sherman Cooper both of New Zion, SC, Aaron (Wilhelmenia) Cooper of Manning, SC and Allen (Sylvia) Cooper of Turbeville, SC; two god-sisters, Anna Cooper and Lametress Epps both of Turbeville, SC; a host of great uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, William and Allie Mae Cooper, and four uncles.


Celebratory service: Howard Chapel AME Church New Zion, SC. Rev. Oliver Davis, pastor presiding, Bishop Lucious Wheeler, officiating , Pastor Willie Houston, Pastor Andrew McFadden and Pastor Louette Cabbagestalk assisting. Ms. Burgess will lie in repose one hour prior to service.

Burial: St. John AME Church Workman Community Kingstree, SC.
