Born March 16, 1935, in Adams County, Erma was a daughter of Cluster and Erma Bunte Tournear.
What started as a chance meeting at "The Grill Cafe" in Camp Point resulted in a wedding on April 12, 1953 and a 59 year marriage to Lyle Campbell; he survives
Erma was always a hard worker, often working two jobs at a time. Among her jobs, Erma worked at Motorola, the Stockyard Inn, the Paloma Cafe, Quincy College, and Methode Electronics.
She was a member of the Camp Point United Methodist Church and was a former member of the Camp Point Lioness Club.
In retirement, Erma enjoyed volunteering at the Community for Christ Assistance Center in Camp Point giving her the opportunity to socialize and meet new people.
Erma was considered a wonderful grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and going to their activities, and they all enjoyed spending time with her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Kevin Campbell; two brothers, Maurice and Lowell Tournear; a sister, Gladys Phillips; and four brothers in law, Don Geisler, Kenneth Deming, Lloyd Tenhouse, and Bob Phillips.
Funeral services will be held Nov 24, 2012 Saturday morning at 11:00 at the Camp Point United Methodist Church;
Rev. Joe Tomich officiating
Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Camp Point
Visitation will be held Friday evening from 4:00 until 7:00 at the Lummis Hamilton Funeral Home in Camp Point
