Mrs. Lucretia Paintiff

STRANGE CREEK- Mrs. Lucretia Paintiff, 82, of Strange Creek, died Friday in Stonewall Jackson Hospital in Weston.

She was a Methodist.

Surviving: daughters, Mrs. Blanch Houghton of Frametown, Mrs. Ruby Jones of Charleston, Mrs. Stella Hall of Cottle, Mrs. Betty Jarvis of Gassaway, Mrs. Bessie Rice of Richwood; sons Grover and Richard, both of Strange Creek, Russell of Hinkley, Ohio, Walter and Tommy, both of Gassaway, Roy of Craigsville; brothers, Brooks Tanner of Braxton County, Blaine Tanner of Vero Beach, Fla., Rance Tanner of Big Chimney; sisters Mrs. Nimmie Frame of Hurricane, Mrs. Pearl Malcomb of St. Albans, Mrs. Goldie Johnson of Herold Route, Sutton, Mrs. Allie Cottrill of Ohio; 27 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren.

Service was held Monday in Walnut Grove United Methodist Church, Widen with the Rev. Basil Hensoley officiating. Burial was in Walnut Grove Church Cemetery. Skidmore-Roach Funeral Home, Gassaway, was in charge of arrangements.
