MOS:1345 Engineer Equipment Operator.

Norman was born and raised in Biddeford and
came from a large family of 6 sisters and 3
brothers.
Arriving in Vietnam Norman was assigned
to Spt Company,3rd Engineer Battalion,3rd
Marine Division.Norman died as a result
of gunshot wounds to the chest and arms
from small arms fire when his dump truck
was ambushed by hostile forces,2 kilometers
south southwest of the Liberty Bridge.
Tour of duty unknown.
Survived by his parents,Samuel G & Yvonne
Poitras,6 sisters,Jeanette,Marie,Arlene,Joan,
Olivine and Rosemarie Poitras and his 3
brothers;Rodger,Robert and Kenneth Poitras
all of Rural Free Delivery #3,Biddleford,Maine.
