Oliver T. Kern, 71 years old, died last night at his home, 1608 St. Joseph avenue. Mr. Kern was formerly employed by the Graham Ship-By-Truck Co. Inc., the Burlington railroad, and the old Kansas City, Clay County and St. Joseph Interurban Line. He was a member of the First English Lutheran Church and St. Joseph Lodge No. 78, A. F. & A. M. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Maud Kern of the home; a daughter, Mrs. Lee B. Hoffmister, Alameda, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Hugh Andrews and Mrs. Rosce Rainey, St. Joseph; two brothers, Stanley Kern, living in Mexico, and Paul Kern, Bedford, Ind. The body is at the Stamey mortuary.
