Former Hampshire Boy Is Killed in Vietnam:

Cpl. H. Warren Schneider, 20, Janesville, Wis. was identified among 140 U.S. servicemen reported killed on February 16, while on an emergency rescue mission of reconnaissance teams in Quang Tri, South Vietnam. He was a helicopter crew chief and had been on duty in Vietnam since August of 1966.

Cpl. Schneider, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Schneider of Route 1, Janesville, and former Hampshire residents, was born in Hampshire and attended Hampshire Elementary School. He entered the Marine Corp. January of 1966.
Survivors, besides the parents, are two brothers, Carl of Elkhorn, Wisc., and Richard at home; two sisters Donna and Diane, both at home; and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Schneider, and Mrs. Harry Sabin in Sycamore, Ill.

Arrangements are pending at the Overton Funeral Home in Janesville, Wisc. A memorial will be established in his memory for the First Congregational Church of Emerald Grove, Janesville, Wisc.
