Alfred R Stofer died this morning at his home, 141 Blanche St., after a long illness. He was born in Knox county 46 years ago, but had lived in Mansfield for 10 years. He was engaged in the insurance business.
Mr. Stofer is survived by his wife, three sons, Richard, Robert and Joseph; his father, Joseph Stofer of Knox county; three sisters, Mrs. Floyd Shire and Mrs. George Robinson of Knox county and Mrs. Charles Deal of this city.
Mr. Stofer was a member of Central Methodist Episcopal Church, I.O.O.F. lodge no 19, and the Junior Order. Funeral services will be held at the home Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock by Rev. C.B. Hess. Burial will be in Mansfield Cemetery.
