Captain Albert J. Moon, 32 year old instructor-pilot from Jermyn died in the explosion and crash of a T-33 jet trainer at Oklahoma City along with student-pilot Captain Calvin D. Hoatson, Jr., 34 of Phoenix, Arizona. Captain Moon, a veteran of World War II fighter service in North Africa and Italy, also had served with the 51st Fighter Wing in Okinawa since the war. He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Mary Moon of Jermyn. He came to the Wichita base in June, 1951 from William AFB, Arizona.
