married to Elizabeth Lehmann on 11-27-1947. father to Chris, George, Henry, Fred, Patricia and Michael. He enlisted in the Army on 8-11-1941 Camp Upton, Yaphank, NY.

"Pop Pop" passed away March 1, 2003 following an extended illness. He was born in Brooklyn, New York on December 27, 1915, He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Lehmann D'Elena of Dallas and his six children, Christopher, George, Henry, Frederick, Patricia D'Elena Larabee, and Michael. He leaves eight grandcildren; a sister Millie Sanataga, and brother, Louie, both of Florida. He served as an Army Tech Sargent in Europe during World War II. George managed men's hat departments in major retail stores in New York and Philadephia, and in 1957 moved to Dallas to open D'Elena's Resistol Hats. He later managed retail clothing stores, including the James K. Wilson downtown Dallas store. George donated his body to medical research. A memorial mass will be held at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 9643 Ferndale Road, Dallas, Texas on March 7th at 4:00 pm.
