The last rites for Mr. R. F. Fenton, Sr., of Clarks, La., who passed away in the Caldwell Hospital May 31st 6:00 A.M., after a long illness, were held Sunday June 2nd, at 1:30 P.M. at the Clarks Baptist Church with Rev. Paul Jones officiating.

Mr. Fenton came to Louisiana from Jamestown, New York, about forty years ago and was employed with Louisiana Central Lumber Company at that time with the exception of about ten years of which he was employed with the Grayson Bank. During the latter years he was with Louisiana Central Lumber Company until his health failed and he was confined to the bed.

Besides his wife he leaves two sons, Richard Fenton, Jr., of Baton Rouge, La., and Lieut. Clayton Fenton, U.S. Army now stationed in Greensboro, North Carolina in preparatory to overseas duty; two sisters; Mrs. Walter G. Compton, Berwyn, Pa., and Mrs. Bertha Wellman, Jamestown, New York.

Active pallbearers were: H. C. Miller, J. W. Webb, Jr., V. E. Lewis, R. C. Corbin, Jr., L. E. Christman, Jr., R. E. Busch, H. A. Busch and S. H. Albritton.

Honorary pallbearers were: I. N. Grayson, M. M. Iles, H. O. Cooksey, E. L. Kraft, L. L. Jackson, E. McGhee, E. M. Steely, J. W. Webb, Sr., A. D. Bridger, R. C. Cantrell, J. H. Daws, E. B. Parker, W. R. Humphries, J. W. McKeithen, J. J. McKeithen, W. R. Broadway, E. L. Carroll, F. H. Mecom, J. R. Russell, D. O. Sherman, V. C. Vasses, J. B. Wade, and T. E. Skirvin.

Interment was made in Riverview Burial Park, Monroe, under the direction of Riser Funeral Home, Columbia.
