RHODE RAYMOND J., was born in Jersey City, New Jersey to August and Mary Ellen Rhode on July 12, 1920, and died on August 19, 2002 .

He is survived by his children, Robert Rhode, Elizabeth Saccoccia, Nancy Rhode, Susan Sundberg, Thomas Rhode, Larry Rhode, Beverly Schaefer 13 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Raymond served in the U.S. Merchant Marines during WW II as a ships Purser.

In 1960 he moved to Miami where he was employed at Dade Federal Savings and Loan as a Computer Operator and retired in 1978.

In 1966 he started a business, Compuscore, and processed bowling league scores by computer.

He was a member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks Miami Lodge #948. He had the distinction of being the first Elk in the nation of receiving "Elk of the Year" with less than five months in that organization. He also served as chair of the lodge and as an officer for five years. He was a member of the Loyal order of the Moose, Lodge # 1656.

In 1996, he and his wife, Elaine, donated the children's playground. Raymond was a member of the Neptune Society and he will be buried at sea. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Loyal Order of the Moose, North Miami Lodge #1656, 25 N.W. 150 Street North Miami Florida, 33168 - 4910.
