William must have gone by the name Chiles, because his death notice reads: Wm. Chiles Carr. He was thirty-fourth year. The funeral was held from his mother's home, Mrs. Eugenia L. Allen, No. 2825 Chestnut street. The death notice indicates that mourners should omit flowers, but does not indicate where he was interred.

Killed By Accident. Chiles Carr of Utica Thrown From Horse and Killed Word comes from Fergus county that Chiles Carr from Utica met with a fatal accident on Saturday. He was riding in the country when a pack-horse came in sight. The load frightened Mr. Carr's horse which started and putting
its foot into a prairie dog hole tumbled over. Mr. Carr was thrown so violently that his neck was broken and he died instantaneously. His brother, who is in town, expects the body here today. It will be embalmed and sent to St. Louis.
Mr. Carr came to Montana from Missouri some years ago. He engaged in the horse business, but met with some losses and of late years had been engaged in ranch work.
