Miss Carrie Morgan, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. John Morgan, after suffering 3 years with bronchial consumption, died at her home in Clinton last Thursday evening at 8:30 o'clock. She was born in New Goshen, in October 1877, making her 21 years old last October. Carrie went to Clinton when just a small girl to attend school, boarding until her parents moved to Clinton. Three years ago she had to give up her schoolwork on account of her health, and winter before last she spent in Texas. Although everything was done to prolong her life, the last year she failed very fast. The funeral services were conducted at the home Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock by Rev. Souders of the Presbyterian Church, of which Carrie was a member. She was buried in a beautiful white couch casket and was carried to the cemetery in a beautiful white hearse drawn by 2 white horses. The pall bearers were 6 of her girl friends - Eva Pinson, Zona Bogart, Gertrude Perrin, Helen Matthews, Minnie Smaltz, and Alice Higgins. Many beautiful floral emblems were given by sympathizing friends and relatives.
