They had seven known children although her obit says that she had ten. Besides the ones listed, the oldest found in census records was Matilda F followed by Calvin, Alvin, etc.

Per census records - d/o Philip & Jane "Washburn" Hendricks (death cert states George & Kate ??). Sister to six known siblings, John A, Matilda, Uriah S, Joseph M, Lucy W, & Thomas.

Mrs Maranda Hart, aged 80 years, one of the county's mot highly esteemed women, died Monday afternoon June 15 at 4:30 o'clock. She had been in failing health for the past several years & suffered a paralytic stroke recently from the effects of which she died. Mrs Hart was a Miss Maranda Hendricks before her marriage. She was the daughter of the late Philip & Jane Washburn Hendricks. She was born in Fleming Co, April 2, 1845 & came to Pendleton Co when a young girl. She resided more than 50 years near Concord. She was united in marriage with J M Hart of this county, December 17, 1863. To this union ten children were born, five of whom survive - C L Hart of Concord, Rollie F Hart, jailer of Pendleton Co, Walter, Emmett, & John Hart. Her husband preceded her to the Great Beyond in 1906. Mrs Hart is the last of her immediate family.
Mrs Hart was a member of the Pleasant Hill Christian Church & was a splendid Christian woman. She was a good neighbor, a kind friend, & a loving indulgent mother & her death removes from the Concord neighborhood, a citizen who by her gentle nature & her good deeds had endeared her in the hearts of all.
The funeral was held Wednesday afternoon at the Pleasant Hill Christian Church conducted by the Rev W M Lenox.
