A month before his death, Mr. Kreger suffered a stroke and had been despondent. On the day of his death, he was found fatally wounded from a gunshot wound in his car, parked in his garage.

Husband of Albertine Souderes by second marriage; [widower of Mayme Kleinpeter by first marriage]; father of Fred J. and George Kreger, Mrs. E. Paul Martin, Mrs. Paul H. Collette and Mrs. Richard N. Boss; son of the late Margaret Fisher and August Kreger; brother of Mrs. Amelia Matthews, Mrs. Joseph Borrelio and Mrs. Hilda Schilling; also survived by 9 grandchildren; aged 66 years; a native of New Orleans and a resident of Metairie, La. for the past 5 years.

Funeral on October 23, 1958 from the funeral home of Joseph Laughlin Co., 4500 Magazine Street, with Rose Croix Services at Grand Consistory, 619 Carondolet Street.

Interment in Hook and Ladder Cemetery, Gretna.
