Herschel T. Brandenburg, 53, 1304 Main St., died at 2:45 p.m. Monday in Ft. Hamilton-Hughes Hospital.
Mr. Brandenburg was born in Witt Spring, Ky., the son of Fred C. and Beulah Tuttle Brandenburg. He was educated in the public schools of Estill County, Ky.
In November, 1945, he married Geraldine Hazelwood in Hamilton. He was a farmer in Preble County for 25 years and had resided in Hamilton the past 1 1/2 years. Mr. Brandenburg served in the armed forces from 1942-45.
He is survived by his wife, Geraldine; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred C. Brandenburg, Irvine, Ky.; three sons, James H. Brandenburg, Fairfield; Richard and Donald Brandenburg, at home; three brothers, Wendell Brandenburg, Irvine, Ky.; Morris Brandenburg, Lexington, Ky.; and James Byron Brandenburg, Springfield; and two sisters, Mrs. Bernice Sutton, Illinois; and Mrs. Mary Catherine Hardy, Irvine, Ky.
Visitation at the Webb Funeral Home, Ross Ave. and S. D St., Wednesday 5-8 p.m.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the First Church of God, Irvine, Ky. Visitation at the Lewis Funeral Home, Irvine, Ky., after 4 p.m. Thursday. Burial will be in the West Irvine Cemetery, Estill County, Ky.


Herschel is a WWII Veteran, U.S. Army TEC 5, served 08 Jan 1942 - 19 Oct 1945.
