Marcus Don "Donny" Oldman, 30, died on Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2008, at his home in Beaver Creek housing. He was 30.

Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 2, at St. Stephen's Catholic Church.

Burial will follow at the Arapaho Catholic Cemetery at St. Stephen's with military rites conducted by the American Legion Post 84.
A rosary will be held at 7:30 p.m. on both Sunday and Monday at St. Stephen's. A wake will follow the second rosary Monday night at Eagle Hall at St. Stephen's.

Marcus Don Oldman was born on June 14, 1978, in Lander.

He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1998. While in the Army, he specialized in multi-channel transmission systems whereby he could operate a satellite system anywhere in the world. Often he would use this skill to call home to his mother.

His family said Mr. Oldman enjoyed spending time with his children, mother, and sisters. He also enjoyed basketball, volleyball, and cross country.

While attending Riverside Indian School in Oklahoma, he was on the 2A State Championship Cross Country team in 1994-1995. He participated in handgame and volleyball tournaments in Wyoming and Montana. While stationed in Fort Jackson, S.C., his company took first place in the volleyball tournament earning him MVP in his company.

Mr. Oldman attended Christopher Columbus in California, Riverside Indian School in Oklahoma and was graduated from St. Stephen's Indian High School in 1996.

He lived in California, Utah, Oklahoma, Kansas and South Carolina before making his home at Arapahoe.

Oldman, Darrel Smith Jr., Barns Oldman, Ruben Oldman, John Antelope, Sr., Michael and Matthew Smith, Carlos Bianas of Ft.
