Ermel T. Smith, 79, 1405 N. Wheelling Ave., died Tuesday at his home. Mr. Smith, who was a lifelong Delaware County resident, was a route driver and salesman for Ernst Florist. He was a member and longtime usher at First Church of the Nazarene. Survivors inlude his wife, Ethel Smith, a daughter and son-in-law, Veda and Robert Youngblood, Ridgeville, seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. A daughter, Lois Eileen Smith, and two brothers, Carl and Ferrell Smith, are deceased. Services will be at 1 p.m. lLSaturday in First Church of the Nazarene. Burial will be in Elm Ridge Cemetery. Calling will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday in Parson Mortuary-Adams Chapel and at noon Saturday at the church.
