Friends may call from 1 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Rupp Funeral Home where funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday. Rev. Roy Southerland, pastor of the Monroe Missionary Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park, LaSalle.
Born September 18, 1977 in Monroe, he was the son of William E. and Linda F. (Queen) Austin.
Daniel was a caregiver, attended Monroe High School, loved to fish and enjoyed hunting. He liked all sports but really enjoyed football and baseball. He was a member of the West Hills Baptist Church in Lebanon, Tennessee.
Surviving are his parents William E. and Linda F. Austin of Lebanon, grandmother, Hazel Barber of Lebanon, Tennessee; children Johnny Austin Shorter, Harmony Jones, Audrey Austin, Dakota Austin and Mackenzie Jones; brothers, Bill (Deanna) Austin of Monroe and Chris (Rena) Austin of Newport; sister, Angie (Dan) Peters of Belleville, Michigan and several nieces and nephews.
