Carl L. Carpenter, 87, of Rock Camp, OH, went to be with our Lord and Savior Sunday, July 8, 2018, surrounded by loved ones.
He was born April 3, 1931, to the late John and Nannie Bush Carpenter.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Barbara J. Carpenter; three brothers, Ercle, John Jr. and Elmer Carpenter; and one sister, Jane Adkins.
Carl retired from CSX Railroad and was the real estate broker for C.L. Carpenter Realty.
He leaves behind three daughters, Sandra Kay (Harry) Rowe of Milton, WV, Debbie Pemberton of Ashland, KY, and Linda Carpenter of Deering, OH; two sons, Randy (Annette) Carpenter and Tim (Darla) Carpenter both of Rock Camp; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one brother, Wayne Carpenter of Wurtland, KY; one sister, Lucy Harlow of Destin, FL; a special friend, Anna Lou Robinson; and special cousin, Elmer Bush.
Funeral services will be Thursday, July 12, 2018, at 1 p.m. at O'Keefe-Baker Funeral Home in Ironton with Trent Carpenter officiating. Burial will be in Bellefonte Memorial Gardens. Symmes Valley Veterans Honor Guard will be preforming military graveside rights.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 11, 2018, and after noon Thursday at the funeral home.
