Robert F. Doelling, a 35 year resident of Terrace Park. Ohio, died Wednesday, October 29, 2003 at Hospice of Cincinnati. Born July 29, 1928 in St. Louis, Missouri, he was a graduate of the Missouri School of Miles, in Rolla, Missouri, with a Masters degree in Metallurgy.

After graduating from school, he entered the Navy. He completed officer's training at the CEC officer's school, and then became a member of the Navy Seabees Construction Battalion. He was stationed in the Philippines during the Korean War where he served in the early 1950s.

He was President of the Witt Company at the time of his retirement in 1993, following 33 years of service for that company.

Among other services throughout his life, Bob recently served as a support group leader for the international Waldenstrom's Microglobulinemia Foundation (IWMF). He served with other Waldenstrom's patients from the Upper Valley Medical Center in Troy, Ohio. IWMF is an organization dedicated to raising awareness of the disease and funds for research to find a cure or better means of controlling the progress of the disease.

Preceeded in death by his parents William E. amd Sophoa Doelling, his brother William P. Doelling, amd son Eric W. Doelling, survivors include his wife of 54 years Beverly Doelling, his son and daughter-in-law, Rob and Andrea Doelling of Denver, Colorado, his daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Bill Warner of Las Vegas, Nevada and his two grandsons Nicholas and Joseph Werner of Las Vegas, Nevada.

Bob had been a long-time member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Terrace Park. A memorial service was held on Monday, November 3, 2003 at St. Thomas Church.
