Clyde Edward Davison, a beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend passed away Saturday, August 25, 2012 at the Hyde Park Health Center, Age 86. "Gramps" as he was known to his family, was an avid hiker, golfer, world traveler and successful insurance salesman.

He was born in Greensburg, Pennsylvania, on February23, 1928 to the late Emerson and Hazel Davison. He was preceded in death by his brother, Elmer Davison, his son Robert Davison and his stepson Nathaniel Bachman IV. He is survived by his wife Marilou Bachman Davison, his former wife Gladys "Happy" Davison, his sister Priscilla Kessler; his brother Calvin Davison (Carole) and his grandson John Edward Davison (Kimberly). He is also survived by his two stepsons Edward Bachman (Bonnie) and Keith Bachman (Ginny) and his great grandchildren Katie Davison Lovins (Jason) and Phillip Davison. "Gramps" also is survived by five step-grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren and special friend Tracie (John) Peschke.

Ed Davison graduated from Norwood High School in 1944 and entered the U.S. Army Air Corps during WWII. He was a sergeant in the 19th Bomb Squadron and was a decorated turret gunner in the South Pacific. Ed also graduated from Chase College in Cincinnati in 1952 and began his career as a life insurance salesman with William T. Earls Agency. Ed started his own company, Ed Davison Insurance and was a Life Member in the Million Dollar Round Table Association. At the age of 60, Ed started hiking 14,000 ft. mountains across Colorado where he reached the summit of over thirty "fourteeners". Ed loved to travel and shared this passion with his wife, grandchildren and many friends. We will miss his smile, infectious laugh and kindness shown to all.

A memorial service was held on Saturday, November 24th at 2:00 PM at the St. Thomas Episcopal Church, Terrace Park.
