rline Perkins, 92, of Lincoln, Nebraska, formerly of Columbus, died Monday, November 19, 2012, at the Country House Residence in Lincoln.

A memorial service will be held on November 30, 11:00 A.M. at Trinity Lutheran Church with Rev. Wayne Nestor officiating. There will be a private family interment in the Roselawn Memorial Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer's Research Association.

Arline Perkins was born November 14, 1920, in Platte Center, Nebraska, to Charles and Ella Marie (Hueschen) Weber. She attended and graduated from Columbus Public Schools. On June 19, 1940, Arline was united in marriage to Benjamin Perkins in Columbus. Arline worked for Landgrens Studio and also for the family auto business.

Arline was blessed with a heart of gold. God’s plan for her life was filled with some hardship, but mostly an abundance of blessings. Arline was given numerous gifts, and she used them to the fullest. She lived being a friend to the elderly, a good neighbor, always there for her husband, daughters, and family.

Arline was an active participant in her children’s activities. She served as Girl Scout Leader for over 12 years.

A lifetime Lutheran, Arline is a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and served as Jr. Choir Director, Sunday School and VBS teacher, and has participated on numerous committees while she lived in Columbus.
