Anniston - James Robert "Bob" Abbott, 81, passed away Sunday, November 4, 2012, after an illness. Private services were held on Friday, November 9, 2012, at Anniston Memorial Funeral Home. Burial followed in Anniston Memorial Gardens.
Survivors include his son, William Joel Abbott and his wife, Lindy; grandchildren, Pvt. Andrew James Abbott, David Anthony Abbott and Angela Grace Abbott; brothers, Leo Abbott and Charlie Abbott; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jane Abbott and a sister, Lois Pate.
Mr. Abbott was retired from the Anniston Army Depot as a systems analyst. Anniston Memorial Funeral Home.
