Age 77, passed away on Nov. 12, 2012 in Riverside, CA where she had been a resident for 50 years. She was born on May 28, 1935 in Prospect Park, PA. She attended Elsinore High School and Riverside Community College Nursing Program. She was a Nurse at Riverside Community Hospital and Riverside General Hospital when she retired. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Ellen was preceded in death by her husband Stan Brooks, Jr. She is survived by her daughter Elizabeth (Lisa) Barnes and husband Kurt; sons Stan and Robert Brooks, all of Riverside, CA; sister Elizabeth Gordon of Hemet, CA, Florence Mayer of Chico, CA and Jean Werner of Hemet, CA; 4 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Visitation will be held on Tues., Nov. 20, 2012 from 10am-11am with services following, all at Arlington Mortuary with burial at Riverside National Cemetery.
