Funeral services for W.F. Praytor, who died Wednesday morning at 6:15 o'clock after a lengthy illness, were held last Thursday at 2:30 o'clock at the First Methodist Church of Ben Wheeler.
The services were conducted by the Rev. Troy Martin of Tyler, with interment following in the Prairie Springs Cemetery.
Pallbearers were O.S. Buckalew of Murchison, A.J. Cole, A.R. Hughes, Verble Hayes and Jake Helborn, all of Ben Wheeler and H.A. Dickey of Palestine.
Mr. Praytor, honorary member of the Woodmen of the World, was a 75 year old settler of Van Zandt County and well known in this county. He was a retired farmer and member of the Presbyterian church.
Surviving are four sons: John Praytor of Ben Wheeler, W.T. Praytor of Weslaco, George Praytor of Ben Wheeler and M.B. Praytor of Murchison; one daughter, Mrs. Annie Bullard of Ben Wheeler; twenty-two grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
