In the town of Chilton, on Wednesday evening the 22nd, inst., Louis Gerard, aged 64 years. He was born in Lorraine, Germany (formerly France) and came to the United States when 11 years old. He lived in Lewis Co., New York until 25 years ago when he located here. He was a gardener by profession and was recognized as an industrious and upright citizen and his unexpected death is universally regretted, as it was the rule of his life to plant everything on the line of straight forwardness. Peace to his ashes. He was an uncle of James and Joseph Bart.
