WASHINGTONVILLE - Funeral services for Private First Class Ralph P. Cyphers of this village, killed in action in Europe March first, 1945, will be held in the Washingtonville Presbyterian Church Wednesday at two p.m. The Rev. A. M. Conger will officiate. Private Cyphers entered service November twenty-third, 1943 and was sent overseas September fourth, 1944. During his service with the Army he received the Silver Star and the Bronze Star. He attended Washingtonville Central School and was a member of the Presbyterian church. Survivors are his parents, Ralph and Ada Green Cyphers; three sisters, Miss Hazel Cyphers, Mrs. Lynold Doolittle, and Mrs. Wilbur Morgan; three nephews and two nieces, all of Washingtonville. Interment will be in Washingtonville Cemetery at which time he will be given military honors. Friends may call at the Greene and Greene Funeral Home tomorrow evening.
