Roger Max Arnold, 71, of Marietta passed away on Tuesday morning (Nov. 13, 2012) at his home.

He was born on Sept. 15, 1941, in Churchtown, a son of Paul Arnold and Josephine Dobbins Arnold. Roger was a boiler operator and retired from Cytec and was also employed as a meat cutter. He was a decorated veteran of the U.S. Army in Viet Nam, where he received the rank of sergeant with the 11th Armored Calvary Black Horse Battalion and received the Purple Heart Medal.

On May 25, 1963, he married Connie Haught who survives with one daughter, Angela Arnold of Marietta; grandsons: Zachary Brooker, Dillon Brooker, Max Brooker; great-granddaughter, Isabel Brooker; brothers and sisters, Wayne, Jake, Pearl, and Eva.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Frances.

Funeral services will be held on Friday (Nov. 16) at 10:30 am at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with burial in East Lawn Memorial Park with full military services.
