SOUTH PITTSBURG, TN - James Brian Whitson, 47, died Thursday, November 15, 2012, in a Chattanooga, TN hospital.

A U.S. Navy Veteran, he was a former employee of Moss Motors and U.S. Stove and was preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert and Manda Lou Manier Brewington, Tracy Z. Whitson and Eddie G. Wheatley Whitson Heyne; and father, Estel Z. Whitson.

He is survived by his wife, Judy Rackler Whitson; stepchildren, Jeffery Evans, Johnathon Hicks, Brandon Hicks and Cassandra Hicks, all of South Pittsburg, TN; mother and stepfather, Jimmy and Sue Railey, of New Hope, TN; siblings, Kim Poe, Becky York, both of New Hope, TN, Jeff Whitson, of South Pittsburg, TN and Lynn Beck, of Attica, OH; four grandchildren; father and mother-in-law, Bobby and Joyce Rackler.

Memorial services will be at the South Pittsburg Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home at 3:30 p.m. CST today, November 18, 2012.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, November 19, 2012 at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
