Bill Warren Cox
1920-2012

Bill Warren Cox, age 92, of Pensacola, FL, went to be with the Lord Thursday November 15, 2012, He was preceded in death by his wife Gladys Leona Cox. He is survived by his son Barry Cox and his wife Diane Cox, his daughter Gail Browne and her husband Peter Browne, 6 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. Bill was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Bill was loved by all who knew him and will be missed by them all.

Bill served in the U.S. Navy and retired after 25 years as Chief Petty Officer then served another 20 years in civil service in Pensacola. Bill was veteran of WW II and the Korean Conflict. Bill was a man of honor and placed his family above all. He has serviced God, Family and County with honor and without fail.

Born in Miami, FL and was raised in Pickens County, GA, then served tours of duty with USN all over the world only to settle in Pensacola and call it home.

Funeral services will be Monday, November 19, 2012 at 11 AM at Eastern Gate Memorial Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Barrancas National Cemetery at 12:30 PM with full military honors. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday, November 18, 2012 from 3 until 5 PM. Condolences may be made to the family at www.easterngatememorial.com.
