Maude Fralix Carter 88 of Morristown passed away Thursday, November 15, 2012 at Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare Systems.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Carl Carter; mother, Ellen Bell; father, Robert Fralix; sons, Robert "Bobby" Carter, James (Shirley) Carter, and Billy Carter; daughter, Martha Carter Dixon; daughter-in-law, Kathy Moyers Carter; grandchildren, Charles Allen Carter, Brenda Gosnell, Carolyn Ann Wilburn; and several brothers and sisters.

Survivors include her children, Charles (Virginia) Carter, Lesley Carter, Lemuel Carter, Alma (Jimmy) Gosnell, Barbara Carter, Linda (Don) Choate, Richard "Ernie" (Traci) Carter, Sherry (Robby) Painter, Leslie (Brian) Broyles, David (Crystal) Carter; daughter in law, Elizabeth Carter; and a multitude of grand-children, great grand-children, great great grand-children, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 7:00 PM, Saturday, November 17, 2012 in Mayes Family Services, Downtown Chapel with Rev. Barry Warren and Rev. Lynn Porter officiating and receiving of friends will be 5-7 pm prior to the services at the funeral home. Family and friends will gather at the funeral home 1:30 pm, Sunday, November 18, 2012 to proceed to Hamblen Memory Gardens for a 2:00 PM, graveside service.
