HAYWOOD, Richard Alfred, age 81 of Metamora, passed away on Saturday, November 17, 2012. He was born on March 23, 1931 in Detroit, MI. He married Mary Delores Kretch on June 28, 1952 and remained faithfully committed to her. Richard graduated from St. Francis De Sales High School. He was a Master Machinist through his working career and until his retirement. Richard remained a devout Catholic until his peaceful passing. He was an officer of the Knights of Columbus and an active parishioner at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.

Richard was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He is survived by his daughters Katherine and Cynthia; grandchildren Christian (Lindsey) Teter, Todd Stevens, Juan (Daniela) Morales, Philip (Jelena) Siebold, Jacqueline (Michael) Kubinec, Nicholas Siebold, Casey Anne Thompson and Nathan (Jessica) Siebold and nine great-grandchildren. He will be missed by every one of them.

Richard was preceded in death by his wife Mary Delores on March 8, 2008; daughters Michelle Anne Teter and Yvonne Louise Siebold.

Arrangements for cremation entrusted to Lynch & Sons Funeral Directors Capstick Chapel, 542 Liberty Park, Lapeer, MI 48446. A Memorial Mass followed by a graveside inurnment at Mt. Loretto Cemetery will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his name may be made in the form of Mass cards.
