Joseph A. Sunderman, 80, a resident of Rural Route, Griswold, passed away Thursday morning at the Cass County Memorial Hospital where he had been since September 5th.
The son of Charles and Ida Kaiser Sunderman, he was born December 30, 1897 in Noble Township where he spent his entire life. He was married to Louise Schaaf on March 28, 1923. He was a member of the St. John’s United Church of Christ.
He is survived by two daughters, Waneta and Joan Sunderman, both of Atlantic; two sons, Elwin and Sherwin Sunderman, both of Griswold; three brothers, Hubert Sunderman of Port Huron, Michigan; Ray Sunderman of Cedar Rapids and Werner Sunderman of Griswold and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and two brothers, Sam and Ralph.
