He was first a Clerk with W.R. Gasoline and Oil Distributors. He later became a Tax Accountant for them and then Tax Supervisor.
--He married Dessie Hamrick. They were parents of 3 children: Charles Grady Jr., Frances Glenn, and Dessie Eugenia "Jean" Long.
--Cause of death: heart disease.
--His wife Dessie died the day after Charles' death.
