Elwyn Manuel Duplechain died on Friday, November 16, 2012 at Savoy Care Center. She was 86.
Elwyn was the First Beautician in Mamou in the 1950's on Sixth Street. She was involved in many businesses with her brothers and was a Rice Farmers wife, homemaker and she enjoyed shopping and eating out with her daughter and grandchildren. Elwyn was always there for all her family. Every day of her life she gave to them.
A loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother Elwyn will be missed by her daughter, Vanessa Duplechain Ducote of Mamou; three grandchildren, Darren Earl Ducote, Heidi Elizabeth Ducote and Kristen Leah Fusilier and a great grandchild, Kaden Paul David.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Lily Reed Manuel; husband, Earl H. Duplechain; two sons, Stacy Joseph Granger and John Feryl Granger; grandchildren, Ashley Lauren Ducote and Gabriel Luke Ducote; three brothers, Edison "T-Ed" Manuel, Ulyesses Manuel, Austin Manuel and Wallace Manuel; and a sister, Enola.
