Robbie "Pepsi" Ward, 78, of Martinsville, died Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2006, at Beverly Health Care in Martinsville.
He was born in King, N.C., on June 12, 1928, to John N. Ward and Vannie Nunn Ward. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Cordell Ward, Otis Ward, Clarence Ward and Grady Ward; and a sister, Ruth Ward.
He was a member of Community Baptist Church.
Surviving are a sister, Edith Ashburn of Winston-Salem, N.C.; and several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at Bassett Funeral Service from 1 until 1:45 p.m. Friday. The graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. at Roselawn Burial Park with the Rev. Bobby Rakes officiating.
