Soviet operetta artist, director and librettist, People's Artist of the RSFSR (1940). He was born into a family of well-known translators. Yaron, the son of a veterinarian from Odessa, and opera singer Eleanor Jakovlevna, the daughter of a military bandmaster of Poltava. He studied at the Drama School of the St. Petersburg (graduated in 1912), after which he joined the St. Petersburg Maly (Suvorinsky) Theatre. Debuted in the musical comedy in 1911. In 1915-1926 played in the theaters in Petrograd, Kiev, Odessa, Kharkov and Moscow. In 1927 he co-founded the Moscow Operetta Theater and his first art director (head of the artistic part). They put it on the radio a lot of montages of classic operettas by leading artists, soloists and operettas. Wrote the book "About my favorite genre" (1960, 2nd edition: 1963). Starred in the movie "Mr. X "in the role of a waiter Pelican.
