Edwin Lewis Fowler of Houston died November 9 in a Houston hospital. He was 42.
Services were held Saturday at Sweet Home Baptist Church with Rev. B. L. Easley and Pastor Willie Clarke officiating. Burial was in Oak Grove Cemetery.
He was born August 7, 1951, in Gatesville, son of the late James W. Fowler, Sr. and Mrs. Inez Louise Fowler. He was reared and attended school in Gatesville until the age of 10 when he moved to Houston.
He continued his education at Prairie View A&M, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in medical technology.
He had been employed for the last year and a half at Formosa Plastics at Point Comfort, as a lab technician.
He was a member of the Second Shiloh Baptist Church in Houston.
Survivors include three sisters, Mrs. Shirley Rucker of Houston, Mrs. Ann Hughes of Houston, and Mrs. Loretta Cotton of San Augustine; and one brother James Wade Fowler of Gatesville.
