Ray "Razor" Dishong, 89, of Deshler, Ohio died Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at The Toledo Hospital, Toledo, Ohio.

He was born August 29, 1922 in Wood County, Ohio to the late Floris and Cora Viola (Brown) Dishong.

Ray proudly served during World War II in the U.S. Army with the 1400th Military Police Company.

He owned and operated Razor's Stone Hauling and was the mower and caretaker for Woodlawn Cemetery, Deshler. He was a driver for the Deshler EMS for over 25 years.

He was a member of New Beginnings United Methodist Church, Deshler and lifetime member of Deshler American Legion Post #316 and VFW Post #8218, Napoleon, Ohio.

Razor enjoyed and was well known for popping "Razor's Popcorn" at the annual Hamler Summerfest for countless years. He loved spending time with his family and was very fond of all his friends and the community of Deshler; where he lived his entire life.

He was very proud to have flown on "Honor Flight of NW Ohio" to visit the memorials in Washington D.C.

He is survived by daughters, Judie Fosnaugh, Fremont, Ohio; Marcia Goggin, Bradenton, Florida; Deb Davis, Liberty Center, Ohio; grandchildren, David (Sheri) Dahnke; Crystal (Gerald) Hemmer; Brian Buehrer; Kyle Buehrer; Jeremy Davis; great grandchildren; Amanda and Chad Dahnke; Tori Guenzel; Jerid and Samantha Hemmer; Lacie and Blake Buehrer; Braydyn Brubaker; Addison Davis; sister Ruth Reiger, Toledo, Ohio; and special friends, John and Janet Luna; and Kathy and Shane Washburn.

He was preceded in death by brothers, Earl, George, Guy, Clyde Dishong; sisters, Nellie Mae Dishong and Dorothy Myers and son-in-law, Charles Fosnaugh.

Services will be 10:00 a.m. on Saturday at Rodenberger Funeral Home, Deshler with Pastor Zedda Myers officiating.

Graveside military honors will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m., Friday at the funeral home.

The family suggests memorials to Honor Flight of NW Ohio.
