Melissa Rose "Missy" Walden Clark was taken home to her Lord and Savior on Friday, Nov. 16, 2012, surrounded by and lifted up by her family.

Missy was born to Alfred and Mae (West) Walden on Dec. 29, 1948, in Livingston. She was educated in Ringling and White Sulphur Springs schools.

Missy loved country music and her two favorite performers were Charlie "The Silver Fox" Rich and Conway Twitty, who she thought was the best. Her favorite song was "Behind Closed Doors."

Her love of music was shared with others as she played the tambourine in her husband's band, The Shepherd Trio from Shepherd's Fold Church. The band would tour the assisted living and rest homes in the area bringing joy and caring to the residents.

Church life was very important to Missy and she enjoyed visiting with everyone there. She also loved trips to Idaho to visit her in-laws and dining out dates with family. She enjoyed crocheting, watching Western movies, and playing pinochle with her nephews.

She married her loving husband, Jim Clark on Aug. 6, 2005, and has made Butte her home ever since.

She is survived by husband, Jim Clark of Butte; stepdaughter, Janet Clark of Butte; sisters and brother-in-law, Donna Sorlie of Conrad, Alice and John Max Hartman of Clyde Park and Frances Lortz of Maple Valley, Wash.; brothers and sister-in-law, Jim and Barb Walden of Glasgow, and Dean Walden of Maple Valley; 16 nieces and nephews, 17 great-nieces and nephews; and six great-great nieces and nephews.

She is also survived by parents-in-law, William and Pat Doak of Blackfoot, Idaho.

She was preceded in death by her parents, stepfather, Charles Brown; brother, Curt Walden; niece, Felicia Baker; and her grandparents.

In accordance with her wishes, Missy will be cremated at Butte Crematories.

Celebration of Life services will be conducted at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to Shepherd's Fold Church.

Axelson Alternative Cremation is privileged to serve the Clark family.
