Funeral services for Mrs. Lula Robinson who died yesterday afternoon at 2:30 after a 10 day illness will be held from the First Methodist church this afternoon at 5 o'clock. Rev. V. C. Newman, pastor, will conduct the rites. Following the service here the body will be carried to Booneville for interment in the cemetery there. McPeters Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.

Born September 12, 1860, the daughter of the late Joseph and Matilda Young, pioneers of this section of the nation, she grew to young womanhood in what is now Prentiss County where she became widely known in the business world and in the teaching profession.

On March 18, 1884, she was united in marriage to William Robinson and to this union three sons were born: Allen Robinson, Bernard Robinson, and Joe Young Robinson, all deceased. Her husband preceded her in death on March 12, 1933. Had Mr. Robinson survived one day they would have been married 50 years.

For many years the Robinsons owned and managed the Prentiss Hotel at Booneville, later buying the Waldron Hotel in Corinth, and moving to Corinth. After the death of her son Bernard Robinson she sold the Waldron hotel property and purchased the home on Waldron street where she passed away yesterday afternoon.

Mrs. Robinson had made and held many warm friends to mourn her passing. She was an intelligent woman with keen business judgment, making success of every undertaking. She was known for her charitable heart and was always ready to help the downtrodden one who came her way. She was a devoted member of the Methodist church.

Besides several nieces and nephews, she leaves to mourn her passing six grandchildren: Sidney Robinson of Cleveland Ohio, Mrs. Rex Best of Jackson, Miss., Allen Robinson and Lucius Robinson of Corinth, Miss Lady Joy Robinson of Iuka, and Joe Robinson, Jr., of Blue Springs, Miss. Other survivors include two great grandchildren: Rex Best Jr. and Bobby Best of Jackson Miss.

Active pall bearers will be Harry Wilson, Dave Sharp, Robert Heyer, Ed Byrnes, Tommie Hardin, Harry Roebke, Frank Worsham, and Robert Liddon.
