Rites Held Fri. for Guy Young Guy Young, for 49 years vice-president of the Booneville Hardware Company here, died suddenly last Wednesday night, June 11, following a heart attack. Death came about 15 minutes after he was admitted to the Northeast Mississippi Hospital following a sudden seizure at the Prentiss Hotel, where he made his home. He was 74. Born in Prentiss County, Mr. Young spent his life here. He was a member of the Booneville Methodist church, and at the time of his death was a trustee. He served on the board of aldermen about 40 years ago. Funeral services were held Friday morning at 10 at the Methodist church, with the Rev. W. M. Jones officiating. He was assisted by the Rev. J. A. George, new pastor of the church. Burial followed in the Booneville Cemetery, with McMillan Funeral Home handling arrangements. Mrs. Young preceded her husband in death, as did two of his sons, Joe Young and Charles H. Young. He is survived by four sons, John Bell Young, Marion Young, and Bill Young, all of Booneville, and Frank Young of Jackson, Tenn. He also leaves three sisters, Mrs. Marshall Burns, Mrs. Myrtle Harris, and Mrs. E. P. Spain, all of Booneville.
