He was a cattle dealer in the area.
He was a member of High Street Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by Clarence Earl Smith, Gary Smith and Joy Smith.
Clyde is survived by a son, Brad Smith; two daughters, Rita Carpenter, and Debbi Shepard; his mother, Velma (Doke) Smith; two brothers, Keith Smith, and Bob Smith; a sister, Viola McHaffie; three grandsons, three granddaughters; and great grandson.
Burial in Hickory Grove Cemetery.
