OTTERBEIN - Wanda Mae Peugh Asher, 61, died at 2:20 PM Sunday, Feb. 19, 1995, in St. Elizabeth Hospital Medical Center, Lafayette. Born Dec. 29, 1933, at Salem, IN, she was a 1951 graduate of Otterbein High School. She also graduated from Indiana Vocational Technical College and Ball State University, where she earned her library degree. She married Glen A. "Spike" Asher on Feb. 14, 1954; he survives.

Mrs. Asher, a homemaker and Avon representative, had been the Otterbein librarian for the past seven years. She spent most of her life in Benton County, and was a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church.

Surviving with her husband are a daughter, Barbara Jo Biddle of Green Hill; two sons, David Allen Asher of Elon College, NC, and Stephen Michael Asher of Otterbein; her mother, Elsie Peugh of Otterbein; and nine grandchildren.
